An “English rose” describes a naturally beautiful English woman with fair skin, rosy cheeks, and a gentle, feminine way about her. Someone who carries the quiet grace and modesty long associated with the Tudor rose. Whenever I hear that phrase, the person who comes instantly to mind is Auntie Pauline. She’s our mother figure in so many ways: calm, kind, supportive, and endlessly encouraging. Classy, elegant, and drawn to soft pastel flowers, she embodies that timeless English charm.

One of the things I cherish most is how she nurtures my love of Tudor history and Christmas. Each year, my tree grows a little richer because of her, another knitted treasure, another Tudor ornament chosen with care. These small gestures feel like threads she gently weaves into our family story.

To me, Auntie Pauline is my English Tudor Queen, with Uncle Bill always by her side. English Rose is a tribute to her grace, warmth, and quiet strength. Lets not forget Uncle Bill, the love of her life! Love you xx
